DANS AWESOME BUILD A DECK THAT WORKS LEAGUE!!!!
Modern Legal with Emphasis on Drafting and Best Deck
In an effort to bring the best league experience we will be having PLAYER INPUT!!! The Voting on Weeks 2, 5, and 8 will determine the formats weeks 4, 7, and 10!!
Format Rules
Sealed - Players are given 6 packs to build their best 40 card deck
Wacky Draft - Players buy 3 packs of their choice (within Modern) and they will be drafted normally
Best XX Card Deck - Players will build, from their league pool, the best possible 40 or 60 card deck
Musical Chairs - Players surround a table and play the person to their front, after one game one side moves either left or right providing both players a new opponent
Pauper - Players will build a 60 card deck with no rares and a MAXIMUM of 5 uncommons
Even or Odd - Players will construct ONE deck consisting of cards with converted mana cost of EITHER odd or even numbers. You only need build ONE deck for this event
Tiny Two Tone - Players will build a deck consisting of 25 cards. This deck will be two colors with 5 of one land and 6 of another. The Non-land Cards in the deck will consist of 10 commons, 3 uncommons and one rare or mythic rare card. Essentially this is a constructed minimaster pack.
Wedge - this deck will consist of 3 colors, 2 allied and their common enemy color
IE White Green (allies) and Black (Common Enemy)
Rainbow Stairwell - Players will construct a deck consisting of 5 colors Each color, including artifacts, will have a card with converted mana cost 1 through 6, this will provide you with your standard 36 card deck build, the other slots (37-60) are yours to fill with whatever you please. In the event that you have no cards with the proper converted mana cost to fill a slot you may fill that slot with a card with converted mana cost of one higher.
Highlander - Players will build a 100 card singleton, the only cards that may have multiple copies are basic lands. Think Commander without the commander.
Notes:
Ends when time starts on the following weeks first round.
Trades will be Point Based
The breakdown is Commons are worth 1pt
Uncommons are 2pts
Rares and Mythics are 3pts
The Trading is as follows
For Weeks 1-4 You will have 2pts
For Weeks 5-12 You will have 3pts
**EXAMPLE**
During Week 6 I can trade 3 commons for 3 commons OR a rare for one uncommon and one common OR an uncommon for 2 commons and still have 1pt to work with for the week.
